aerial or satellite imagery using photogrammetric processing. Georeferenced digital orthophotos (DOP) provide an excellent GIS basemap and a reliable foundation for a wide range of planning tasks.

Orthophotos can be used wherever conventional maps are required. They can, for example, enhance city maps with detailed visual information and improve orientation. Local authorities use them as a readily available, survey-grade and up-to-date basis for planning and as a general geospatial reference.

Current geospatial information underpins many planning activities and supports compliance with legal requirements. Location-based questions play an important role across numerous areas of public administration and for utility and waste management organisations. In many workflows, geospatial data provides the essential knowledge base in the form of digital mapping information.

The potential applications are extensive. Public authorities and municipalities use digital orthophotos and other aerial imagery to determine split wastewater charges, create municipal inventories, support traffic management, and map land use, impermeable surfaces and changes over time. In the energy sector, digital geospatial information supports renewable energy potential assessments and efficient grid control for smart electricity networks.

    Let’s talk

Looking for the right solution?
