CAIGOS Straßen- und Verkehrswege (SVWM) provides all the functionality required for municipal road management. Core tasks, including road inventory management and the administration of road construction and maintenance responsibilities, can be handled within the same integrated application.

The standardised specialist application is based on recommendations issued by the German Road and Transportation Research Association (FGSV). To meet the specific requirements of managing roads in built-up areas, it deliberately uses a simplified network model.

For road information management, the road network is represented as a system of road sections connected at network nodes, such as junctions. Each road section has a defined direction, running from a specified start node to a specified end node.

This enables the road network to be structured quickly and clearly.

CAIGOS Straßen- und Verkehrswege is designed for staff responsible for capturing, managing and retrieving road data.
