GIS-based management for municipal and privately owned tree stock

A range of factors and events can affect tree safety. Regular inspections help identify damage and signs of defects, so that the measures required to restore safety can be initiated.

CAIGOS Baum efficiently supports the written documentation of inspections for individual trees, resulting in a digital tree register. The data captured provides a reliable evidence base in the event of damage and supports effective management of municipal tree stock. With its extensive range of functions, CAIGOS Baum enables complete management of all types of tree stock, including valuation for accrual accounting.

Individual trees and their associated attribute data are captured and stored in a specialist database. The specialist application uses GIS-based site analysis to identify the land parcel and street for each tree location. Age-structure analyses and vitality overviews can be combined with damage summaries. Additional information, such as development plans, land-use plans and road plans, can also be included.

Tree inspection and assessment in accordance with FLL guidelines (Forschungsgesellschaft Landschaftsentwicklung Landschaftsbau) is also integrated.
