Key benefits

Reliable georeferenced data for municipal planning

Reduces coordination effort and supports legal certainty in municipal planning processes.

Charge allocation and impermeable surface mapping

Orthophotos provide a reliable data foundation for charge allocation, impermeable surface analysis and transparent administrative decision-making.

Analysis and potential assessments for grid operators

Geospatial analysis supports grid operators with energy strategies, network expansion and smart grid operations.

Project-specific aerial surveys as a full-service solution

We coordinate the aerial surveys, manage all organisational requirements and integrate the resulting imagery into your GIS.

3D point clouds, true orthophotos and 3D models

3D point clouds and true orthophotos enable realistic analysis and simulation, supporting future-ready infrastructure planning.

Survey-grade orthophotos and aerial imagery as a reliable basis for planning

An orthophoto is a distortion-free, true-to-scale representation of the Earth’s surface, created from aerial or satellite imagery using photogrammetric processing. Georeferenced digital orthophotos (DOP) provide an excellent GIS basemap and a reliable foundation for a wide range of planning tasks.

Orthophotos can be used wherever conventional maps are required. They can, for example, enhance city maps with detailed visual information and improve orientation. Local authorities use them as a readily available, survey-grade and up-to-date basis for planning and as a general geospatial reference.

Current geospatial information underpins many planning activities and supports compliance with legal requirements. Location-based questions play an important role across numerous areas of public administration and for utility and waste management organisations. In many workflows, geospatial data provides the essential knowledge base in the form of digital mapping information.

The potential applications are extensive. Public authorities and municipalities use digital orthophotos and other aerial imagery to determine split wastewater charges, create municipal inventories, support traffic management, and map land use, impermeable surfaces and changes over time. In the energy sector, digital geospatial information supports renewable energy potential assessments and efficient grid control for smart electricity networks.

Our aerial survey services

Working with our partner companies, we provide project-specific aerial surveys and deliver high-resolution vertical, infrared and oblique aerial imagery.

Our solution
  • We coordinate the aerial surveys and handle all organisational aspects
  • Working with our partner companies, we process the aerial imagery and integrate it into your geographic information system
  • We digitally map impermeable surfaces within built-up areas as a basis for calculating split wastewater charges
  • We provide the data foundation required to introduce recurring road improvement contributions
  • We support the development of road and path registers
  • Using orthophotos and aerial imagery, we create tree, green space and cemetery registers, among others
  • We verify the positional accuracy of sewer manholes and valve box covers in water supply networks
  • We source older aerial imagery for reuse, enabling time series of aerial imagery to be compiled
  • And more

Alongside the aerial survey, additional products can be supplied on request, including 3D point clouds, true orthophotos and fully automatically generated 3D models.
