Key benefits

A reliable basis for planning and informed decisions

Vertical and oblique aerial imagery is integrated directly to support well-founded planning.

Support for all standard formats and straightforward data import

Support for all standard formats simplifies data transfer and avoids breaks in the digital workflow.

Reduced storage requirements and faster loading times

The CAIGOS raster format reduces storage requirements and speeds up loading times.

Vertical aerial imagery for stereoscopic viewing and quantitative analysis

Vertical aerial imagery provides a reliable basis for precise surveying, mapping and legally robust technical assessments.

3D visualisations from oblique aerial imagery

Oblique aerial imagery supports building assessments, storey-level analysis and the creation of 3D models for urban and network planning.

Vertical and oblique aerial imagery as a reliable basis for planning

CAIGOS GIS supports the efficient import and use of both vertical and oblique aerial imagery across a wide range of applications.

Aerial imagery captured during aerial surveys can be visualised directly, with support for all common formats. CAIGOS can convert the imagery into its proprietary raster format, significantly reducing data volumes without any visible loss of quality. This improves visualisation performance while substantially reducing the load on your IT network.

Georeferenced vertical images can be captured from aircraft as aerial imagery or from satellites as satellite imagery. Vertical images are planned as nadir images, with the camera’s optical axis directed vertically towards the ground. In practice, deviations of one to four degrees are typical. Only vertical imagery is used for stereoscopic viewing and quantitative analysis, including height measurement and mapping.

Photogrammetric processing can also be used to create 3D models from oblique aerial imagery, for example for three-dimensional city maps and terrain models. The number of storeys in buildings can also be derived reliably from oblique imagery.

Working with partner companies, CAIGOS GmbH provides a wide range of services covering the acquisition, processing, analysis and visualisation of digital orthophotos and aerial imagery.
