Safe and cost-effective operation of assets and infrastructure depends on data being stored consistently in a central system. This gives employees easy access to the information they need, including when working in the field. The aim is to make field technicians’ work easier and faster through the use of mobile devices.
The fully web-based CAIGOS 360° AM product suite supports the entire workflow, from creating individual tasks through to completing and documenting work on site. Centralised data storage gives all employees access to the latest information at any time, including asset information and data for planning maintenance work. The same information is available to office and field teams alike. Reliable, comprehensive access to current information is particularly important for field technicians working directly on assets. With 360° AM Mobile, processes such as Meter Management, servicing, maintenance and Outage Management can be carried out on mobile devices, including time recording.
With 360° AM Mobile, field technicians can view their assigned tasks on a smartphone or tablet and select them from a clear list. Each task has a status that is indicated by colour. Tasks can also be viewed on a map in 360° AM Maps. Work order data is synchronised with the central server either manually or automatically at regular intervals.
Google Maps integration also makes it easier for field technicians to plan their work on site. Based on their location and assigned tasks, they can decide which job to complete first. Alternatively, the dispatcher can set the task sequence and route centrally.
Field technicians have access to more than work order data. Depending on the configuration, all relevant asset information is available on mobile devices, whether for reference, condition recording or work order documentation. This information remains available offline when there is no network connection, for example when working in stations. Once a connection is available, the data is synchronised with the 360° AM server over a secure connection and made available centrally in the system.
