Well-founded decisions based on real-world data

CAIGOS Einwohnerinformation (EWO) provides information for sustainable municipal planning and development. It is based on spatial and temporal analyses of ALKIS data, population data and other municipal datasets, including targeted forecasts.

Sustainable development planning for towns and municipalities must be long-term, economically viable and aligned with residents’ needs. This requires a sound basis for decision-making. Existing infrastructure, leisure facilities, available development land, industry, commerce and transport are just as important as data on the population structure.

CAIGOS Einwohnerinformation links population data with buildings and land parcels from ALKIS, providing the data needed for tailored, audience-focused and sustainable planning and development. The datasets used and the spatial level of detail applied in analyses can be configured and are largely determined by the access permissions and availability of the source data.

The results are thematic maps and tabular summaries, for example on population distribution, age and age group, gender, household sizes, vacant properties and more. These results can be used directly as a basis for decision-making and planning, or made available for further analysis.
