Efficient importing and processing of 3D information and LoD data
3D city models are becoming increasingly important in the planning processes of modern public administrations. In addition to internal departments, interested members of the public should also be able to benefit more widely from 3D information. The responsible state authorities have also recognised the importance of 3D data and, in some cases, already provide state-wide LoD2 models (Level of Detail).
With CAIGOS 3D-Visualisierung, you can easily import, process and visualise three-dimensional data for your area of interest as well as available LoD2 data, adding targeted and visually compelling detail to your geodata.
The possible use cases are wide-ranging. For example, you can use the tool to display a landscape model. Entire cities and municipalities can be shown realistically and true to scale in the 3D view by integrating orthophotos available in CAIGOS GIS and digitising and modelling buildings.
The integrated building designer also enables realistic representation of individual buildings by applying textures or colours to selected wall, floor and roof surfaces. Light sources can also be controlled, for example to analyse solar exposure and building shadows. You can also flexibly tilt and rotate the 3D view. In overview mode, users can zoom in and out of the object, select the viewing angle and rotate the display. In helicopter mode, you can move through the space or define the movement route to be followed in flight.
With CAIGOS 3D, you can easily import and visually display LoD2 data and use it as an important basis for a wide range of planning and decision-making processes.
