The basis for efficient management of the geodata of the real estate cadastre

The Official Real Estate Cadastre Information System (ALKIS) replaces the Automated Real Estate Map (ALK) and the Automated Real Estate Book (ALB) in Germany by combining and unifying the information in one system.

The data structure of ALKIS is essentially determined by the XML exchange format used – the standards-based exchange interface (NAS) – which serves as the data interface for the AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS model.

As the surveying system in the Federal Republic of Germany, and thus also the land register, is organised on a sovereign basis at the level of the federal states, each federal state was responsible for the strategy and schedule for the introduction of ALKIS.

CAIGOS ALKIS enables the redundancy-free and scale-independent management of the geodata of the real estate cadastre.

With CAIGOS ALKIS, the data structure and the NAS interface are modelled in compliance with national and international norms and standards (ISO, OGC).

Key features
  • In CAIGOS ALKIS, all cadastre-relevant facts and legal statuses (e.g. land, buildings, owners) are mapped as objects with a lifetime interval. Objects that have been lost remain stored in the database and can be reconstructed on a key date basis for research purposes.
  • Support of the new nationwide uniform coordinate system ETRS89/UTM
  • Provision of transformations for all import interfaces
  • Signature catalogue, derivation and positioning rules of GeoInfoDok are implemented automatically
  • ALKIS layer template
  • Area intersection of the utilisation areas with the parcels
  • Workflow support for ALKIS import
  • Mail merge function and Microsoft Excel export
  • And more
