CAIGOS-NEPLAN integration

Many utilities use network analysis software to plan and operate their networks. To avoid entering the same data twice, CAIGOS GmbH provides integrations between CAIGOS and leading network analysis software.

CAIGOS GIS supports the entire planning process. Storing extensive network information in the GIS makes it much easier to collect and keep this data up to date. With the network represented consistently and with correct topology, the data held in CAIGOS GIS provides a reliable basis for network analysis.

The CAIGOS-NEPLAN-Schnittstelle makes data from CAIGOS GIS available to the NEPLAN network analysis software. All objects relevant to calculations in NEPLAN, together with their associated parameters, are transferred from CAIGOS GIS. Specific objects can be selected using network tracing in CAIGOS GIS.

The central GIS database contains all data required for the calculations. This means the data can be maintained in the familiar CAIGOS environment while ensuring consistency across both systems. It also prevents discrepancies caused by the databases being updated at different times. Planning is based on the current network state and therefore always uses up-to-date data.
