Managing relevant data through to charge notice generation
The German terms Gesplittete Abwassergebühr (GAG) and Gespaltene Abwassergebühr refer to the separate charging of foul water and surface water. Wastewater discharged into a municipal sewerage system – comprising the sewer network and wastewater treatment plant – is categorised as foul water, surface water from private properties, or surface water from public roads and spaces.
The specialist application Gesplittete Abwassergebühr was developed to manage the data generated during the introduction and ongoing administration of this charging model securely and efficiently.
Once configured to reflect the applicable local by-law, the application can be used to capture and spatially overlay data and assign it to individual properties. The results remain linked to the relevant properties and can be updated or corrected at any time. Charge notices, questionnaires and supplementary map printouts can be generated individually or in batches whenever required.
We typically support customers throughout the introduction of split wastewater charges with a range of professional services. The resulting data is consolidated and managed in the Gesplittete Abwassergebühr application.
