With CAIGOS GIS 19.7.4, we are releasing a new version focused on server-side XSLT transformation for CAIGOS Globe, security and authentication, as well as stability and usability across the server and GIS environment.

Important for all CAIGOS Globe customers

Browser vendors are discontinuing client-side XSLT transformation, with the change taking effect with browser updates in November. From CAIGOS GIS 19.7.4 onwards, XSLT transformation is therefore supported server-side – configurable and enabled by default. It also includes safeguards against external resources, stylesheet caching and robust encoding handling. This update is required for all CAIGOS Globe installations to ensure continued operation after the browser updates in November.

Improvements at a glance:

✅ Future-ready operation of CAIGOS Globe: Server-side XSLT transformation keeps your applications running reliably beyond the browser updates in November.

✅ Updated security components: This version includes extensive updates to the components we use for data transmission and encryption (NGINX and OpenSSL).

✅ Control automatic sign-in: Your GIS administrators can define precisely who is allowed to launch CAIGOS GIS without signing in. Login-related issues in CAIGOS Globe, CAIGOS GIS and CAIGOS Adminer have also been resolved.

✅ New cgAttribAnalyzer tool: This tool checks all projects within a CAIGOS map for differing attribute assignments, applies corrections individually or in batches, and logs every change. This ensures your update to CAIGOS GIS 20 is well prepared.

✅ Improved system stability and usability: Numerous improvements have been made to CAIGOS Globe, particularly on tablets and smartphones, as well as to redlining, map services and print output.

Looking ahead to CAIGOS GIS 20

In the upcoming major version, attribute definitions will no longer be assigned individually to each user. Previously, users could see the same data displayed differently within the same project. To ensure a consistent display, project properties had to be transferred. For the update, we are providing functions that transfer the correct attribute assignments once to all users. This significantly simplifies user administration.

Update to the latest version now to ensure the reliable operation of your CAIGOS environment.
